Fellow Residents,
As we are now well into our second quarter we felt it was timely to provide an update to you on matters relating to the Estate.
First and foremost we would like to wish those who have recently left the Estate well for the future, and welcome our new residents including some recent family additions/arrivals (congratulations to all!).
Estate Maintenance
Our gardeners, Garden ER, have completed seven visits as part of our maintenance programme including this week’s visit. We delayed the last cut in May to try to ensure that the grass areas are as tidy as possible coming into the June Bank Holiday weekend. We fully acknowledge that given the mild weather over recent weeks, plant and grass growth has been more vigorous than normal and we will therefore keep the cutting schedule under review (funds permitting).
As outlined in our last letter damage is continuing to occur to planted areas and to a number of the trees in the Estate. While accepting that some damage is inevitable, branches have been torn from trees and trees damaged to such an extent that they will have to be replaced. Cost of replacement is c. €100 per tree putting additional pressure on the Association’s limited resources. Please let any member of the committee know if you see anything of this nature and we will endeavour to follow-up, as necessary. Equally you can contact us by using our email account as advised below, if this is more convenient.
